Innovations are a risky affair and require long-term investments, without having immediate results or impact. Limited access to capital, knowledge, lack of viable markets, and absence of supportive policies are the main challenges for African innovations to scale.

Grand Challenges Africa Innovation Network, or GCAiN, is a virtual network that brings together African innovators and innovation partners such as funders, governments, incubators and the private sector, with the aim to connect, share ideas, exchange information, and plan for successful scaling of innovations.

Trans.Lieu was asked to produce a promotional animation video clip highlighting what GCAiN is, and can do for various stakeholders including scientists in Africa, innovators and investors. This animation video clip is available in English and French.
