A single African market is becoming a reality. In 2018, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was signed and established. The AfCFTA will go beyond traditional free trade agreements – which cover goods and services – to include investment, intellectual property rights and competition policy. The architecture of the AfCFTA includes, among others, an African Trade Observatory (ATO). The African Trade Observatory is a system that strengthens trade information across the continent. This online tool will be a one-stop shop and the source of real-time African trade and market information – spanning countries, products and markets – all in one place. For businesses, policymakers and institutions.

Trans.Lieu was contracted to produce a promotional video clip explaining what the African Trade Observatory is all about. This video clip is available in English, French, Arabic, Kiswahili and Portuguese.
