Global Partnership for Education (GPE) - World Bank Group: Visit of GPE Deputy CEO to Djibouti

During the last week of January, GPE Deputy CEO Charles North visited Djibouti and saw firsthand the commitment to make education accessible to every child. A meeting with Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, Djibouti’s Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, highlighted the progress made in expanding access. 

Djibouti is working with GPE and partners like Education Above All Foundation and The World Bank to reduce disparities in favor of an inclusive and equitable education system by improving school infrastructure; mobilizing resources for families, students and teachers; helping youth develop life skills; and making learning more inclusive for vulnerable children.
