UNICEF Kenya - Baby Friendly Community Initiative in Samburu County

Community Health Promoters are supporting the Baby-Friendly Community Initiative (BFCI) in Samburu County by offering nutrition counselling to mothers, promoting breastfeeding, and encouraging good feeding practices. These efforts are helping mothers improve the well-being of their children and ensure they have the best start in life.

Trans.Lieu handled the video and photo production capturing Esther’s story with an authentic, intimate approach—documenting the moments with the Community Health Promotor, guided by Esther’s voice and experience. Through thoughtful filming, sensitive interviewing, and attention to detail, we translated the broader impact of BFCI into a compelling, human-centered narrative that reflects both the program’s reach and the realities of caregiving within the community.
