WHO Somalia - Empowering Somali health workers to address acute malnutrition

WHO Somalia, in collaboration with the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), organized a two-week training-of-trainers for over 40 Somali health professionals from hospitals and stabilization centres. The programme equipped participants with the knowledge and skills to improve child survival through the cascade delivery of high-quality, standardized nutrition care. It also rolled out the latest evidence-based Somali Guidelines for Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), with a focus on prevention, early identification and quality treatment.

Trans.Lieu was engaged by WHO Somalia to capture a set of photographs, as well as produce a video snippet of the training-of-trainers.
